What is the FIRST20 Discount Coupon?

There are many types of coupons that can be used and in this article we will be addressing how to exclude the FIRST20 coupon  from other stores.

By default, your Site manager comes with two default discounts:

  1. FIRST20 -  This is used for your audiences who leave their email addresses in your Newsletter-Sign Up
  2. NEW20 - This is reserved for your New Website Giveaway once you get live

These are active on your site and they apply to all items in your shopping cart

    3. On the next page you will see the option labeled Available. It is a slider and if it is set to On the coupon will be available on the website. If it is set to Off the coupon will not be available. Please set this flag to OFF.

    4. Since no two discount coupons can have the same coupon code, we can rename this to first201.

    8. A New Coupon will be created with the first20 as the discount coupon. Please scroll down to No. Of Redemptions. This  is where you can set how many times a coupon can be used. If this is left empty, the coupon will be used infinitely. Since this is related to the newsletter, we’ll add 1  as the number of redemptions meaning that this will be available only once for your customer.

    9. The next field that we need to set is the Stores. You can choose the stores that you’d like the discount to be applied to. For the purpose of this tutorial, we’ll select all stores but exclude our example store called Merch.

    10. Amount By Quantity is where you will enter in either the dollar amount or percentage that you would like your coupon to be. Setting a quantity of 1 (either 0 or 1 can be used here with similar effect) and setting the discount percentage as 20, will ensure that the discount coupon has a 20% deduction on checkout.

    11. Clicking on the Save will complete the set-up
